Description:Michel Leiris (1901-1990), escriptor francès que durant algun temps es va sentir atret pel surrealisme, ha deixat una obra significativa com a poeta (Simulacre, 1925; Haut Mal, 1943), com a novel·lista (Aurora, 1946), com a assagista (Brisées, 1966; Francis Bacon, 1974), però sobretot com a memorialista. En aquest sentit, les seves dues obres més importants són L’âge d’homme (1939) –que ara presentem en català traduïda amb gran rigor per Ramon Lladó– i La règle du jeu, en quatre volums (Biffures, 1948; Fourbis, 1955; Fibrilles, 1966; Frêle Bruit, 1976). Segons Leiris, l’investigador ha d’entrar en el camp d’observació i d’experimentació sense renunciar a la primera persona: s’ha d’arriscar personalment, posar-se en joc ell mateix, si vol accedir al saber.
