June 24, 25, 26, 1913Section 1 of Article 1 of our Association presents our summary Of intention to advance the science of jurispru dence to promote the administration of justice; to secure proper legislation; to encourage a thorough education; to uphold the honor and the dignity of the Bar; to cultivate cordial intercourse among the lawyers of Pennsylvania, and to perpetuate the history of the profession and the memory of its members.The course of legal study demanded by this Bar Asso ciation, and adopted by the Courts, may result in closing the door to the admission of some capable, energetic and deserving young men; but it certainly assures higher standards of mental equipment and elevates the grade of the profession to the dignity of that of medicine-and divin ity.
