But all these have doubtless their peculiar excellences. In the foreign half of the building there are some very fine specimens of pianos. Visitors who linger late in the evening are frequently attracted to the Austrian Court, by the sound of musir, vocal and instrumental, which, by its soft and pleasant character, contrasts very favourably with the harmonic strife of the morning. ' Tie vocal portion of this entertainment is executed by Mr. Franz Holzhu ber, an assistant to one of the Austrian exhibitors of iron work, and who, in the evening,when his work is done, sits down to one of the fine pianos from Vienna, and very soon collects an audi ence by his masterly way of singing those fine German songs,so littie known in this country.
